Getting started

1. Install a verified Windows release when available on the download page.
2. Start the desktop app and create a connection profile.
3. On first SSH connection, independently verify the remote host-key fingerprint before trusting it.
4. Use SSH tabs or SFTP for your remote tasks. Do not save secrets in command snippets.

Local-only use

CPify Desktop should continue to function for local connections without a website account. Web account registration does not currently sync profiles or unlock a paid desktop plan.

Common issues

Connection failures may stem from host identity changes, invalid SSH credentials, network firewalls or unsupported remote protocols. Prefer detailed connection error messages over repeated blind retries.
